Smart Squad offers a state-of-the-art digital notebook. This notebook is specifically designed to create efficiencies for front line officers and back-end administration. This notebook has been tested in Criminal Court and Court of Queens Bench, holding up to the highest scrutiny of defence counsel. It maintains a secure and provable chain of custody, and complies with the Canadian Evidence Act and the Police Services Act’s Adequacy Standards.
07Location Awareness
Smart Squad offers a full up-to-date GPS location tracking of each officer for officer safety. All officers in a squad can see each other’s location in case of an emergency. We have the ability to add situational layers onto the map so officers can know if they are close to a subject with a warrant or a violent flag. The GPS data is saved so that it can be accessed at a later date to track patrol movements.
